Meghan’s Baby Ballroom: Your child is your
dance partner in this unique way for you to learn to Ballroom, Latin and Swing
dance.
While in your loving
embrace, your child will enjoy the stimulating environment- from the mirrors to
the music and the movement.
In addition to dancing,
we play with a colorful parachute and sing favorite songs each class. Puppet friends such as “Tango the Clown” and
“Lindy the Ladybug” visit
our class to help us sing and dance.
Baby Ballroom classes
are fun family activities.
You may bring more than
one child, and more than one adult (including Grandparents, babysitters, or
friends) may attend any class.
Meghan’s Baby Ballroom
classes always have a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere where
learning to dance is fun and easy!
Beginning
Baby Ballroom One (newborn-18 months):
This class is designed
to teach adults the basic steps and technique in the most popular partner
dances such as the Tango, Waltz, Swing and Salsa. Song time with these little ones inspires
learning and musicality. We also read
the occasional book that helps babies create actions and noises, such as
first words, learning
their body parts and clapping their hands.
(See class schedule for details)
Beginning
Baby Ballroom Two (18 months-3 years):
The main focus of this
class is on the little ones dancing and movement. However, adults will learn Ballroom and Latin
dances with their child as their partner either in “Baby Dance Hold” or with
their child on the floor. By using our imaginations, we will work on
basic rhythm, musicality and creative movement.
Song time will inspire the kids get up and dance!

details)
Beginning
Couples Baby Ballroom (all ages):
Parents or grandparents
learn to Ballroom and Latin dance together,
learning a skill that will be very valuable at upcoming weddings and other
dance functions. There is nothing like
the look on a child’s face when they get to be swept across the dance floor in
the arms of both parents at the same time!
New! Kids Creative Ballroom (age 3-6 years):
In this separating
class, kids will learn basic Ballroom and Latin steps both with partners and
alone. By working on musical rhythms and
creative movement exercises, children will create a foundation of dance
knowledge and appreciation. We will also have fun with puppets, a
colorful parachute and song times.
